Про дыру

Кто и когда ввел в технический лексикон неудобоваримое слово "отверстие" вместо краткого благозвучного поэтичного слова "дыра"? Пушкин что ли? Но зачем? Дабы советские тролли-технари стали троллить гуманитариев "отверстие не дыра"?
