Out of the 24 duets taking part in the competition, four are formed by twin sisters. They are: Livia and Lucia Allarova, of Slovakia, born on 14 April 1974; Heba and Sara Abdel Gawad, of Egypt, born on 15 February 1982; Erika and Lillian Leal, of Mexico, born on 11 July 1977; Carolina and Isabela Moraes, of Brazil, born on 15 April 1980.

Definitely for twins sisters there could not be a better sport than synchronised swimming.
