Почему Кольцо Всевластья надо было кидать именно в Ородруин? Ведь были следующие варианты:
1) Кинуть его в любой другой действующий вулкан, за пределами Мордора.
2) Утопить его в море (данный вариант безупречен хотя бы потому, что в море утопили безвозвратно один из Сильмарилов.
3) Отвезти его в Валинор (известно, что доплыть до него было технически возможно). Даже если валарская таможня завернёт, никто не мешает перейти к пункту 2.

Олорин говорит, что сжечь можно было бы, но нынешние драконы - фигня плюшевая.
